IRISH HILLCLIMB AND SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP

While Hillclimbs and Sprints have been around almost since the very beginning of motorsport, a national championship only started in Ireland in 1978. The championship currently contains a mix of hillclimbs and sprints with 14 rounds in the calendar (normally two rounds over seven weekends at a variety of locations across Ireland. There are classes to cater for cars of different capacities or similar performance.

  • Championship Regulations: These can be found in Appendix 81 of the current Motorsport Ireland Yearbook. 

  • How to Register: All drivers wishing to take part in the Irish Hillclimb & Sprint Championship must register with Motorsport Ireland by sending a registration form to the Motorsport Ireland offices together with the €50 registration fee.
