Motorsport Ireland will stream highlights of the 1996 Irish Touring Car season 7pm, this Thursday

This week’s Motorsport Ireland – RIAC classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 1996 Irish Touring Cars season.

Following the switch to normally aspirated cars in 1995, the following year the Dunlop Irish Touring Car Championship was beginning to gain momentum. Opels, Alfas, Peugeots, Hondas, and Renaults filled the grids of Mondello, Kirkistown and the Phoenix Park all season as Gordon Kellett, Michael Cullen, Jonathan Fildes and Joe Foley battled it out for the 1996 title.

This programme will be available to stream below from 7pm on July 22nd.

Next week’s upload will feature highlights from a brace of novel 2001 events, the UK Rally Challenge and the Michelin Cup of Nations.
