Watch the 2001 Lark in the Park Rally from 7pm, Thursday December 16th

Motorsport Ireland will stream highlights of the 2001 Lark in the Park Rally from 7pm, this Thursday

This week’s Motorsport Ireland – RIAC classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 2001 Lark in the Park Rally.

St. Columb’s Park in Derry City was a popular single venue event in the 90s and 00s and with the added lure of a £1,000 shootout, it attracted a strong entry for the 2001 running of the event. The rally, located entirely within the confines of the park, saw Richard Hogg in a hired Escort Cosworth take an early lead. Despite challenges from John McKeown and Denis Biggerstaff, Hogg held on for the rally win while Biggerstaff won the shootout in his Metro 6R4.

This programme will be available to stream below from 7pm on December 16th.
