Watch the 2001 Limerick Rallysprint from 7pm August 26th

Motorsport Ireland will stream highlights of the 2001 Limerick Rallysprint from 7pm, this Thursday

This week’s Motorsport Ireland – RIAC classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 2001 Limerick Rallysprint.

Following successful events at another horse racing venue in 2001, Punchestown, Limerick Motor Club managed to persuade the owners of the newly built Greenmount Racecourse to host a Rallysprint around it’s perimeter and within the grounds. 3 former Irish Tarmac Rally Champions in the form of Austin McHale, Kenny McKinstry and Frank Meagher fought it out in hot and dusty conditions while a number of celebrity entrants also took part including; Pat Shortt, Peter Clohessy, Ger Loughnane, Ciaran Carey and Mark Foley.

This programme will be available to stream below from 7pm on August 26th.

 

Next week’s upload will feature Formula Vee action from 1996.
