Watch the 1982 Cork 20 International Rally from 7pm, Thursday November 17th
This week’s Motorsport Ireland – RIAC classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 1982 Cork 20 International Rally.
The 1982 Cork 20 International Rally was comfortably won by Demi Fitzgerald in his Vauxhall Chevette with a handsome 7 minute margin to spare, but it was top seed Ger Buckley's retirement with clutch failure that produced the big story from the event. Buckely's retirement automatically saw John Coyne and Christy Farrell crowned 1982 Irish Tarmac Rally Champions, the Talbot Sunbeam pairing having proved a model of consistency across the season.
This programme will be available to stream below from 7pm on November 17th.
