National Level Autotesting Returns to Ireland

After a 4-year hiatus the Motorsport Ireland Irish National Autotesting Championship has returned for 2024 and with an entirely new format!

There are now two National Titles up for grabs with the "Championship" being joined by the all-new "Challenge" competition! Challenge competitors tackle open, flowing tests suited to road going cars, while the Championship classes run more complicated layouts suited to lightweight cars. The idea behind the revamped championship structure is to provide enjoyable, affordable competition for drivers, whether it be in autotest-specific cars or the roadgoing multi-discipline cars popular in Production Car Trials, Lanes Rallies, Endurance Trials and MVAT competitions.

Round 1 of the revamped series was successfully hosted by Midland Motorclub in Roscommon town a few weeks ago.  Darren Quille came out on top in the Championship event in his Westfield, Liam Cashman took the victory in the Challenge with his Vauxhall Nova and Philip O'Reilly was fastest of the competitors in the roadgoing cars after a demanding day with a dry conditions and a super grippy surface!

Round 2 is this Sunday in Rosenallis, County Laois and will be hosted by the Laois RallySport Club. Entries are live on STOPASTRIDE now and you can find all the info about the event and the revamped Championship and Challenge on the NEW WEBSITE
