Irish Digital Motorsport Championship Concludes its Inaugural Season

 
The inaugural season of the Irish Digital Motorsports Championship came to a conclusion on Sunday evening after nine gruelling rounds and three months of tough battling.

The BMW M4 & M8 Competition sponsored by Mondello Park, in association with Motorsport Ireland was split into Pro and Prom-Am classes, with the Pro’s driving the BMW M8 GTE and the Pro-Am’s driving the BMW M4 GT4. 

The Championship, run by Digital-motorsports.com, comprised of Sprint and Endurance races, held on the iRacing platform and visited iconic venues such as Mount Panorama, Spa Francorchamps and the Nordschleife.

In the Pro class, Formula Vee front runner Jordan Kelly took the championship win, closely followed British Ginetta GT5 Champion Josh Malin with Jason Cooper rounding out the third step on the podium.

In the Pro-Am class Young Harry McGovern took the championship win following extreme pressure from Alex Denning who had to miss the final 3 rounds due to injury and a hard-charging David Maguire who finished second. Newcomer Chris McCann rounded out the championship in a very impressive third place.
