An Officials Licence is issued to people who have completed the relevant training for the licence they are applying for. They are people who want to give back to the sport in some shape or form.

Officials can be current or past competitors, or people who just want to participate and help in any way that they can within the sport.

These are the people who keep the sport going on a weekly basis. Without them, we could not hope to run as many events as we do every year. Being licensed means you are trained to the highest standards of the association and you can officiate at all events that you currently hold a licence for.

To apply for an Officials Licence, you must first attend the training day related to the licence you are applying for. Licences are issued in accordance with training experience and club nomination, depending on the type of licence.

Officials and Volunteers working with minors will require Garda Vetting and will need to complete a Child safeguarding course. Garda Vettng is applied through the Motorsport Ireland office via a Garda Vetting Form. Child safeguarding course can be arranged through your local council or sports partnership scheme e.g. www.meathsports.ie
