Launch of the 2025 Irish Hillclimb & Sprint Championship at Mondello Race Park

The 2025 Irish Hillclimb & Sprint Championship is set to launch on March 8th and 9th, 2025, at Mondello Race Park. The launch will coincide with the final rounds of the Rallycross Championship before its summer break, providing an opportunity for motorsport enthusiasts to learn more about the upcoming season.

Representatives will be present throughout the weekend to provide information and facilitate sign-ups for the championship. The first rounds of the Hillclimb Championship will take place on March 22nd and 23rd, hosted by Limerick Motor Club. The 2025 calendar includes six double-header championship rounds as well as two non-championship double-header events.

The event will also serve as a platform to discuss the junior class structure, with a newly built junior-spec Fiesta expected to be on display. Additionally, information will be available on the introduction of Performance Factor regulations, which will run alongside the traditional class structure. This system is designed to allow cars with similar performance levels, rather than solely engine size, to compete against each other.

This year’s schedule may be of particular interest to competitors in the National Rally Championship, as a national rally round is scheduled for the weekend following the first Hillclimb Championship event—offering an opportunity for teams to shake down their cars in preparation.

Attendees can expect an engaging weekend with refreshments available.
