Officials Licences

Motorsport is far more than just those who compete. Behind every car you see is a whole community working hard to organise and officiate at events. Whether it’s marshalling at your local rally, or timekeeping at a kart race, there is a role out there for everyone!

Motorsport Ireland is proud of our diverse range of positions we can offer to volunteers who wish to engage with the sport but perhaps don’t want to be in the cars themselves. Check out some of the roles below and see if they are something you’d be interested in pursuing.

How to Apply

Some positions require you to attend training and hold a licence, some don’t. After you’ve checked the requirements on the relevant page for your position, you can apply online or with a paper form.

If you apply for something you’re not entitled to hold (e.g. you haven’t attended the training yet), we will be in touch and/or issue you the closest licence to what we think matches your needs.
