Graham Scallan Appointed Chair of the Motorsport Ireland Rallies Commission

Motorsport Ireland is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Scallan as the new Chairman of the Rallies Commission, bringing a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the role.

Graham is eager to collaborate with clubs, organisers, and competitors to further develop and enhance rallying in Ireland.

In his first statement as Chair, Graham acknowledged the intense pace and demands of the sport in recent years. “Irish rallying has been moving at an incredible pace, with commissions working at maximum capacity to keep up,” he said.

He highlighted the importance of stabilising the sport by executing current initiatives to the highest standards while identifying areas for improvement.

Looking ahead, Graham expressed his enthusiasm for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, while also calling for the support of the rallying community. “I am excited about the future of Irish rallying. My primary goal is to support and strengthen the sport, ensuring that we work together to enhance the overall experience for clubs, organisers, and competitors. We respectfully ask for your patience and support as we embark on our mission. We believe we can deliver tangible results that are transparent for all within the sport. We welcome any questions, ideas, or concerns and are eager to hear your input.”

Graham also extended his gratitude to the members of the Rallies Commission for 2025, recognising the strength of the team. “We have a great mix of 90% competitors and organisers, which is a significant step toward achieving a balanced approach that benefits everyone involved. I want to sincerely thank all those who have come on board to help shape the future of Irish rallying.”

As Chairman of the Rallies Commission, Graham is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence within Irish rallying.
