Women in Motorsport Celebrating International Women’s Day at Mondello Park on Rally Cross Day

On the eve of International Women’s Day, Seattle-based DirtFish Rally School has announced the launch of its Women in Motorsport Driver programme, selecting Irish rally driver Aoife Raftery and American circuit racer Michele Abbate as its inaugural drivers.

My journey in Motorsport started just over three years ago in Mondello Park as a driving experience customer. From this I competed in a novice competition in the UK for a GT4 seat and made it to the final, coming 18^th overall, out of hundreds of applicants from all over the world.

The students in DCU’s Karting Society held the inaugural Women’s All-Ireland Intervarsity Karting Open on Tuesday February 18^th.
