This week’s Motorsport Ireland – RIAC classic video from the RPM Motorsport collection is highlights from the 1995 Circuit of Ireland Rally.

This upload covers the 2010 Dogleap Forestry Rally. Kenny McKinstry is the early pace setter, however a road section time penalty leaves him with a mountain to climb. Johnny McKenna and Donagh Kelly engage in a thrilling battle for the win, the the latter coming out on top after McKenna gets overly ambitious with some in stage cuts.

This upload covers the 1995 Formula Ford Championship as drivers like Noel Dunne, Chris Paul, George McAlpin, Mark McKenna, and Tim Mullen went wheel-to-wheel, battling for podiums all season long! From the tight corners of Phoenix Park to the legendary Mondello Park, this season was packed with intense racing and unforgettable moments.

This upload covers the 2010 Lakeland Forestry Rally. Alastair Fisher and Jonny Greer entertain in an extremely close battle all day in their pair of Mitsubishi Evo 9's, with Alastair taking a 1 second victory on the final stage. In the modified section, Frank Kelly and Adrian Hetherington do battle once again, with Hetherington coming out on top.

This upload covers the 2010 Tour of the Sperrins, and focuses on the rear-wheel drive action. Camillus Bradley and Danny O'Neill took a start to finish victory over Seamus O'Connell and Andrew Grennan in the battle of the Mk 2 Escorts.

This upload covers the 1995 Dunlop Touring Car Championship where Michael Cullen provided a dominant championship campaign and Barry Barrable sets multiple lap records around the likes of Mondello Park, Phoenix Park and Kirkistown.

A 20-year-old Craig Breen debuted the S2000 Ford Fiesta on Irish tarmac at this event, while Gareth Machale took his first Galway International Rally win in the older model Ford Focus RS WRC. This upload also covers the event's Group N and National sections and the Citroën C2R2 section.

Derek McGarrity debuted the Skoda Fabia WRC on Irish tarmac on this event but it was Eugene Donnelly and Paul Kiely who shone in treacherous conditions, outpacing Austin McHale in their ageing Toyota Corolla WRC, to take the win.

A weekend long battle between Frank Meagher and Austin McHale went all the way on the 1995 Irish Tarmac Rally Championship opener, with the balance tipping in Frank's favour on the final stage. It was to be the start of the most successful season of the Tipperary driver's career.

The brainchild of Alec Poole and Fred Gallagher, the Tour Brittania was born as a recreation of the old Tour of Britain which was a mixture of rallying and circuit racing.

RPM travelled to Birmingham for the Autosport International Show to get all the latest gossip ahead of the 1995 season. Their cameras also visited Prodrive to see what goes on behind the scenes while a number of Irish Tarmac Rally Champioship hopefuls shook their cars down at Mondello Park ahead of the Galway International Rally.

Alister McRae and Freddy Loix were the guest stars for the Punchestown Rally Experience in 2004. Celebrities like Ken Doherty, Brian O'Driscoll and Shane Horgan got passenger runs in the hot seat while the event ran a novel super special format and at the end of the day it was Andrew Nesbitt who emerged victorious.

A trio of Group A Subaru Imprezas battled it out on this event with Derek McGarrity having to contend with the recently crowned British National Rally Champion Kenny McKinstry and former Belgian and European Rally Champion, Patrick Snijers. McKinstry proved unstoppable, taking a comfortable win ahead of McGarrity as Snijers slipped off the road. A third place finish for Denis Biggerstaff was enough to secure the 1999 Northern Ireland Rally Championship in his Metro 6R4.

This upload covers the 1999 Yokohama Fiat Uno Cup which provided huge grids and huge action as the 1300cc screamers bounced and bumped their way around Kirkistown and Mondello Park.

The curtain closer of the 1994 Northern Ireland Rally Championship saw James Lecky take the win in his Group A Subaru Legacy but it was Stephen Mawhinney who would take the title in his Opel Manta 400.

Charlie Donnelly was hoping to repeat his 1998 victory on this event but power steering issues on the final stage created an opening for David and Norman Armstrong to pounce and claim victory in their Escort Cosworth.

Trevor Moore took the spoils as the Escort Cosworth driver outpaced the Northern Ireland Championship regulars in the Derry forests. After a difficult start Denis Biggerstaff recovered to second place to keep his Championship hopes alive and there's also a guest appearance from a Coronation Street actor!

The Lurgan Park Rally celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2004 with a strong entry, which included former British Rally Champions, Jonny Milner and Mark Higgins. But it was comparative novice Kevin Lynch who would take the victory with a fine drive in his Subaru. It was to be the first of five consecutive wins for Lynch on this event.
