Alister McRae and Freddy Loix were the guest stars for the Punchestown Rally Experience in 2004. Celebrities like Ken Doherty, Brian O'Driscoll and Shane Horgan got passenger runs in the hot seat while the event ran a novel super special format and at the end of the day it was Andrew Nesbitt who emerged victorious.

A trio of Group A Subaru Imprezas battled it out on this event with Derek McGarrity having to contend with the recently crowned British National Rally Champion Kenny McKinstry and former Belgian and European Rally Champion, Patrick Snijers. McKinstry proved unstoppable, taking a comfortable win ahead of McGarrity as Snijers slipped off the road. A third place finish for Denis Biggerstaff was enough to secure the 1999 Northern Ireland Rally Championship in his Metro 6R4.

Trevor Moore took the spoils as the Escort Cosworth driver outpaced the Northern Ireland Championship regulars in the Derry forests. After a difficult start Denis Biggerstaff recovered to second place to keep his Championship hopes alive and there's also a guest appearance from a Coronation Street actor!

The Lurgan Park Rally celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2004 with a strong entry, which included former British Rally Champions, Jonny Milner and Mark Higgins. But it was comparative novice Kevin Lynch who would take the victory with a fine drive in his Subaru. It was to be the first of five consecutive wins for Lynch on this event.
